Rooney: Too bad, mates. You're on your own.

With their most talented World Cup squad in over 30 years coming to Germany this summer, England was considered by many to be a favorite in the race for the title. Even after Manchester United's Wayne Rooney (Sort of the English LeBron James) broke his foot in Chelsea's 3-0 win over Man U at Stamford Bridge this past weekend, many still felt that with Rooney out only 6 weeks, that he could return in time for the quarterfinals.

WRONG.

Reports coming out of Old Trafford now have Rooney breaking his foot in several places. If this is the case, Rooney will miss 3 months, perhaps costing England their best shot at a World Cup title since 1966. Fortunately, England has a relatively easy group (there are no easy groups), playing against Paraguay, Sweden, and Carribean patsy Trinidad & Tobago.

As unfortunate as this is, personally I think Wayne Rooney is a crybaby punk and I can't really feel that bad for him. He's really more of the English Carlos Zambrano.
